When asked to direct Brighton Beach Memoirs, I was faced with the challenge of directing the most adult, controversial, and forward-thinking play this company has ever done. It was a challenge I accepted willingly and happily, and I hope you all enjoy this coming-of-age play about a Jewish family on the brink of World War II. I would like to thank my best friend and assistant director, Michelle Holmes, for all of her support and hard work. I would also like to thank my mother, Linda Loudon, the best mom in the world; Tomm Duke for his love and support; and my future husband, Jeremy Betancourt, for putting up with this crazy passion of mine. Thank you.
