Director's Notes

I was immediately attracted to the idea of this show; "What if I had to do it all over again?" The quintessential question of midlife... or sooner for some .... or never for others. To have the opportunity to make that journey (with a little help of magic) sounded intriguing and frightening all at once. Yes, theater has an obligation to entertain, but also to make one think, to.,perhaps, alter one's perspective, to enlighten and educate.

Dear Brutus had the potential to accomplish all these goals. I wanted in. And now, I hope you enjoy and team a little about yourself, as J.M. Barrie holds the mirror up to you, the audience. Do you like what you see? Would having the opportunity to change your life, indeed make you different, even better perhaps? Let's find out how these characters managed. Sit back and enjoy, Dear Brutus!
