| Directors' Notes |
Since the beginning of this endeavor, I have thought of this
show as my love-letter back home, to a world I left six years ago.
You see, I am one of the ones privileged enough to have been bom
and raised in the world you will be seeing on stage today. Any of
you who have spent any time "down south" knows it is a
world entirely different than the one we live in here. Robert Harling
wrote for us a magnificent portrait of that world, and the cast,
crew, and directing team has done everything possible to bring a
piece of that world into your hearts today.
I would like to thank these six amazing actresses, my wonderful
production team, my dedicated and skilled tech crew, and my loving
partner, Thomas. I would also like to thank each and every one of
you for coming today to see the magic happen. I hope we have served
you well.
I dedicate this show to my amazing mother (Mama), my wonderful
grandmother (Maw-Maw Toady), and to the memory of my best friend,
Abby Dufrene.
