| Director's Notes |
Unlike its title, A Thousand Clowns is not
about circus performers or gaily dressed performers spilling out
of a car. Instead, it is a love story. Yes, there is a secondary
plot of romantic love, but its most poignant theme is of another
kind of love; familial love that sometimes requires sacrifices and
hard choices. I believe that our talented cast of actors sincerely
convey the premise that all relationships, though rewarding, may
not be easy. Enjoy the performance.
